Well, what did we do for our honeymoon you ask? Yeah, our honeymoon got re-planned to. It went from a Hawaiian getaway to an RV exploration. At least it was still quality time together though.
We traveled for about 12 days/nights. We never drove an RV before and even though Kevin was amazing at driving the 32 foot long hotel on wheels, I drove it a little... still counts and I have a picture to prove it.
We stayed at a total of 5 campgrounds (see below) traveling from MA to NY to VT to NH and then back home. We enjoyed the gorgeous, seasonal colors during our excursion, soaked up the great weather (even though it was fall we had some 80 degree days with sun), and good times (inc. hiking, biking, kayaking, apple picking, marshmallow toasting, & relaxing).
- Lake George Escape (Lake George, NY)
- Apple Island Resort (Burlington, VT)
- Country Bumpkins (Lincoln, NH)
- Sunset Park Resort (Hampstead, NH)
- Walker Island (Chester, MA)
We hope to re-do our original honeymoon plan in Hawaii in the near future, perhaps to celebrate our 5 or 10 year. We just felt, given the year of 2020, Hawaii would not have been what it could be and with the ever evolving restrictions, we just decided it was not the right time to go, so the RV idea was set in motion. And although not what I envisioned, it was fun.
