Baby Z is not well. She is coughing, sneezing, and super congested with a runny nost too. It started Saturday, so we decided to call the Doctor and then take her to Urgent Care Sunday morning to make sure she was ok and determine next steps as new parents with a sick baby.
Living in The Berkshires means driving about 25 minutes to an urgent care, which is way different than a 5 minute drive for most.
We arrived, checked in, and luckily were taken pretty promptly. She was seen forst by a medical assistant and then the doctor. They assumed it was a virus like RSV, but recommended a Covid test, although we knew it would be negative which it was. He spoke with our doctor who said to take her home, monitor her, and stop in tomorrow to determine what was truly wrong with her.
It is sad seeing a little one not feel well. So hard when you can't do much and they can't really communicate with you just yet.
We headed home and will see what tomorrow brings. Luckily no fever, which is a blessing.
Stay tuned for more adventures from The Smiths & Baby Z.
