Baby Z is determined. She is so close to rolling over and grunts from frustration due to her arm being in the way and lacking power to push her fully over.
I have been working with her these past 2 weeks - spending time in the morning using kid-friendly shows to peak her interest in sound and speech including ABC's and 123's. Plus grasping and shaking anything we can in between her eating her fist or blanket as she is starting to teeth. The teethers did not work last week, but the banana was a hit today.
We spend some time in the afternoons on her back, her tummy, and with me helping her roll so she sees it can indeed be done. We also enjoy walks, time outside on the lounger atop our picnic table, and watching Kevin mow too.
Oh, and she is starting to eat more, stage 1 foods, in addition to her bottles. So far we have tried cereal (rice & oatmeal), apples, bananas, carrots, beans, butternut squash, and sweet potatoes. Next up is peas. Her favorite by far though is bananas. We love to see her kick as it shows her excitement and happy demeanor and that she likes it, until she cries as she still loves her formula.
The win, on top of the food addition, is by feeding her more like cereal or cereal and fruit/veggies in the evening, before her final bottle, helpd her sleep. This week we made it through the night - yes!!!
Stay tuned for more adventures from The Smiths & Baby Z.
